Community Events and Fundraisers
Cancer Navigators is very blessed to be a part of community events and fundraisers throughout the year. These events allow us to receive some much-needed funds to sustain our services for patients, and also help us advertise these valuable (and free!) services to the residents of northwest Georgia. We often need hard workers to help set up, manage, and break down events, but most importantly, we need smiling faces to represent Cancer Navigators. Some fundraising events include Cast off Against Cancer and Battle of the Bands, but also include various motorcycle and horse rides, car washes, kayaking trips, community health fairs and many more!
Office Help
Many patients come in and out of our doors each day. Sometimes our staff can be overloaded with assisting patients, making it difficult to complete daily tasks to keep the office running efficiently. Some of these activities include filing, answering phones, keeping our medical supply room or wig room organized, and other odds and ends.
Have a special talent? Put it to good use!
Admittedly, we have no specifications in mind for what talents you could possibly donate to us. This isn’t because we have never had talented individuals donate their skilled services to us, but rather because the possibilities are limitless. We want YOU to tell us how you could use your abilities to help further our mission to improve the lives of cancer patients. Some examples from the past include making hats and blankets, building picnic tables for our patio, sewing teddy bears for patients to hug during treatments, and even teaching an art class to promote healing. So how will you make a difference? Tell us today!
