Local Salon Donates Record Amount of Wigs

- Salon Ten 17 recently donated 18 wigs to Cancer Navigators. This is the largest donation of wigs to the organization. “Our patients are going to be ecstatic about these beautiful wigs,” said Cancer Navigators Community Outreach Manager Scharla Battle.
Each October, cosmetologists at the salon have a special “ Wig Out” fundraiser to purchase wigs for cancer patients by donating their time and services for a raffle that they plan and execute. Funds raised from the raffle are used to purchase new wigs for cancer patients.
In addition, the staff routinely donates their services to update the styles of other wigs donated to Cancer Navigators.
