Cancer Navigators’ Annual Walk & Daisy Drop Scheduled for April 28
1-Mile Walk at Barron Stadium Track at 2 p.m.
Daisy Drop at Chief John Ross Memorial Bridge at 3 p.m.
You can help local cancer patients in their fight against cancer by participating in the 1- Mile Walk. The cost to participate is $20 and includes an event t-shirt and the joy of knowing you are helping a cancer patient with transportation to treatments. Participants are welcome to come as groups and display signs.
The Daisy Drop is Cancer Navigators’ annual, free event for the community. Cancer Navigators’ staff will be set-up near the Courtyard by Marriott distributing complimentary daisies to drop in the Oostanaula River in honor or in memory of loved ones affected by cancer.
Parking for both events is available at and around Barron Stadium.

Cancer Navigators, established in 2006, serves as a complement to the medical expertise of cancer care providers by guiding those in northwest Georgia and northeast Alabama affected by cancer toward a better understanding of diagnosis and care while connecting them with needed resources. The organization provides the following free services: social support, counseling, nutrition assistance, transportation assistance, medical supplies, wigs, hats and scarves, stress management and caregiver support.
