Auction of Wreaths at Floyd Medical Center Continues
The purchase of a beautiful holiday wreath from Cancer Navigators goes above and beyond simply making your home look beautiful. It also helps cancer patients receive needed resources.
- $10 – Purchases liquid nutrition for cancer patients struggling to eat.
- $25 – Provides a cancer patient assistance with transportation to life-saving treatment.
- $45 – Assists a cancer patient in coping with the emotions and changes that cancer brings by providing a complimentary one-hour session with our counselor.
This year’s wreath fundraiser will feature both a sale and auction.
A limited number of wreaths on the second floor of Floyd Medical Center near the Wright Art Gallery will be available for auction through Nov. 20. Bids for those will be accepted by calling Floyd’s Volunteer Services office at 706.509.5109 or 706.509.5107. To see those wreaths, who made them, and the minimum bidding price, click here.
Wreaths are also available for purchase on the Rome Floyd Chamber’s Shop Chamber website.
If you aren’t in need of a wreath for your home this year, consider purchasing one for a Cancer Navigators’ patient.
“We are very grateful for Harbin Clinic Cancer Center’s sponsorship this year,” said Sarah Husser, Fundraising and Outreach Coordinator for Cancer Navigators. “I have been amazed at the joy these wreaths bring people – the decorators, the purchasers, and those who just like to admire them. I have already heard several stories of how decorating wreaths is therapeutic and really helping during this stressful time. In addition to this event being a fundraiser and helping provide free services to cancer patients, I think an additional message is the joy this event brings, and the need for it, especially this year.”
