Woman Uses Chicken Salad Recipe to Raise $1,500 for Cancer Navigators
A Chattooga County woman raised more than $1,500 for Cancer Navigators by selling one of her favorite dishes – chicken salad.
Shirley Smith Forbes made and sold the chicken salad during the month of October. The donation will help purchase gas cards to help cancer patients in Chattooga County get to their doctor or treatment appointments who may not be able to otherwise.
Shirley is a breast cancer survivor. She says it is just one way she can use her talents to give back to an organization that helped her so much during her difficult journey.
