March 31, 2015 · Events, News

Cancer Navigators’ Renewal Retreat  will be November 6- 8, 2015

You are invited to join us for a three-day residential retreat at Many Streams Ranch in Rome, Ga. This program is designed for cancer patients of any type, stage or status. The retreat includes experiences with massage, yoga, group support, time spent with nature and a plant-based diet.

Why attend the Retreat?

A cancer diagnosis can take you through fear of the unknown. Big questions – such as Will I live? How will I live? – often surface. Add to that coping with medical outcomes, scans, doctors’ appointments, bodily shifts, bills, insurance claims and the business of daily life, and  our roles, responsibilities, hopes and dreams may be put on hold as the process takes on a life of its own.

It’s time for Renewal …

A cancer diagnosis can take you through fear of the unknown. Big questions – such as Will I live? How will I live? – often surface. Add to that coping with medical outcomes, scans, doctors’ appointments, bodily shifts, bills, insurance claims and the business of daily life, and  our roles, responsibilities, hopes and dreams may be put on hold as the process takes on a life of its own.

When treatment and therapy end, you leave the battlefield forever changed by the experience.

That’s why this time of pulling back, letting go and taking care of yourself can be so renewing.

RR-artWhen asked what they hope to gain from a retreat, responses can be a varied as the people themselves.

Many want to learn to put themselves first, to learn to say “no” sometimes, to learn about nutrition and ways to reduce stress and anxiety.

Some want the support of fellow travelers who are on the same journey. Some describe searching for parts of themselves that were lost along the way: confidence, self-esteem, physical stamina, sexuality, optimism, faith and a sense of security.

The intention of our program is to welcome participants into a healing community in a serene and nurturing environment. This safe and beautiful space allows you to experience fellowship and a rich menu of healing tools.

By stopping the “busyness” of your life situation, you can begin to see and understand the threads of healing than run throughout life and that are available to us every moment.

Choose to do this for yourself ….

The retreat is free but requires a $100 deposit (to hold spot)  that is refundable when the applicant completes the weekend.
