“Knots for Nanny” by Ashley Edge in memory of beloved grandmother

A Darlington Senior decided that the best way to pay tribute to her grandmother’s memory was to spread a little warmth. Ashley Edge’s grandmother died of breast cancer last Christmas after battling with it for years. After recalling how her grandmother talked about the cold she felt when in chemotherapy rooms she was inspired to begin “Knots for Nanny”. After she puts them together, she is taking them to Cancer Navigators to be distributed to patients. Our patients are loving their blankets! One patient stated ” I take it everywhere I go – it keeps me so warm!” Thank you Ashley!
